Dispatch to E-Alliance Members

Recommended Posts

Greetings esteemed leaders:

Zybodia has unfortunately been denied access to the Gulf of Yggdrasil, after discussions with South East India were cut off, and therefore we find ourselves without access to the prime trade routes of our region. Therefore, we would like to propose an airport exchange. We are prepared to offer each of you a runway for your exclusive use at either our Twilight or Eastern airport. You would also receive facilities for whatever ground support and maintenance personnel you may require. In exchange, we ask the same of you - an airstrip and the facilities to maintain it.

As you probably know, the Zybodian economy has recently been shifting away from the manufacturing sector. This means we have a fertile market of 800 million citizens in need of your products. Our product safety guidelines can be rather stringent, so I'd suggest consulting with one of our attorneys before attempting to sell a new product here, but that is of course up to you. We have much to gain from open trade, and so we must take advantage of every opportunity we have to increase business to our mutual benefit. I hope you find our proposal acceptable, and I look forward to hearing from you.

OOC : Why isn't the attachment feature enabled for this forum? :(

Greetings Honourable Kodar,

It is truly disappointing to see that negotiations have failed with South India, and your nation has shown great initiative by proposing such a plan in the aftermath of this.

We're currently making preparations to allocate runways for you at two of our major cities; New Rossyth & New Caledonia. However, the aerial route to Zybodia will be slightly complicated. Please take time to look at the following diagram below :

updatedmap.th.gif

The yellow dots indicate our intended route. Since, we do not possess air corridor rights over South India , observe that our aircraft are forced to take a wider route to your nation and here lies the crux of the problem. Our transport craft are not designed to make long haul flights , and while they are capable of reaching Zybodia... their fuel reserves will be dangerously low at that point.

Although you've graciously allocated us a runway, there is a possibility that due to heavy air traffic our aircraft may not be able to land immediately. Therefore, we would appreciate it if you would give top priority to our aircraft for landing in such a case. In return, South Titania will grant similar privileges to Zybodian aircraft. We choose the Twilight airport, even though it is only marginally nearer than the Eastern airport, the name sounds exotic.

Please let us know the manner of the goods that you require , at present we have an abundance of :

1)Processed Uranium.

2)Civil and Military grade computer systems

3)Furniture and wooden art.

4)Computer and Console games.

Notification

Judging by the huge distance Veyilonian aircraft need to cover to reach Zybodia, we've decided to construct an additional runway at New Caledonia. All incoming aircraft from Veyilonia are requested to land at New Caledonia for refueling. Aircraft from other nations too may use the runway, but priority will be given to Veilyonian aircraft in case of crowded skies. Similar rules have been applied for the New Rossyth airport with regards to Zybodian aircraft.

To all other E-Alliance members,

At present, we require electronic items such as Microwave ovens, Washing Machines, Refridgerators e.t.c ; in particular, home appliances.

Regards,

The Shining Cartel of South Titania

Fellow leaders,

Although it is a very formidable distance to Veilyonia in terms of air-trade, the airstips located in Astatine City will process E-Alliance planes as priority aircraft. If possible, we would prefer if all goods be flown to the Zhou-Torrest airstrip located in the capital city, Dezhyrkiye. As the distance is very extensive, aircraft arriving in Dezhyrkiye will be given priority clearance for landing. (A map of the country will be issued shortly)

For trade with Zybodia, we would also like to request permission to land in New Caledonia, South Titania, if necessary. Although a massive portion of Veilyonian funds are earmarked for the VAC (Veilyonian Aeronautics Corporation) our planes still do not have sufficient power to reach Zybodia on one tank. The Veilyonian government is open to any suggestions for an accomodation tax. As for sea trade, we will not be able to extend this method to Zybodia at this time, due to the distance. we will allocate funds towards this venture, but, as of now, trade with Zybodia will be primarily by air.

The Veilyonian economy is at an all-time high, and can offer a surmountable number of the following items:

Soda (buy Sergeant Fizz)

Lumber

Arms (firearms and artillery)

Casino equipment

Veilyonia has an urgent need for the following items:

Solar Panels

Uranium

Microprocessors/ GPS systems

We look forward to trading with other E-Alliance nations and hope to discuss many other important issues facing this alliance.

Our nuclear-powered aircraft should be able to make it to Veilyonia without refueling. We should only need to use the New Rossyth airport for deliveries to South Titania. We will, however, require a hangar with a reliable water supply at both the Zhou-Torrest and New Rossyth airports. Each of you will be allotted a runway of your own, so you should never have to wait to touch down upon reaching Zybodia. Veilyonia, please do inform us which airport is more convenient for you.

Currently the only sector of our economy that is producing to excess is the high tech industry. As such, and because of the restrictive mining laws here, we have great need of raw materials such as iron, lumber, and uranium. We should be able to help Veilyonia with your shortage of solar panels and microprocessors. We also have a vast treasury of florins, which we are willing to dip into to promote the movement of goods into Zybodia.

I should also note that Zybodia is an excellent place to vacation in if you ever allow yourself that luxury. Our beaches, grasslands, and forests are some of the most beautiful in this lovely region, and our weather is simply divine.

Shall we meet in person to discuss trade agreements, or do you prefer to do it from afar?

Minister Kodar,

The Kingdom of Ruperts would be glad to open up air trade routes with your nation. We offer Zybodia an exclusive runway at Ascari International Airport in Ravenna, a major port city on our southeastern coast (we're hoping to secure space 52 on the map). In exchange we would like a runway at Eastern Airport.

I am certain we can fulfill any of your nation's needs for raw materials, in addition to iron we also have marble, silicon, and aluminum for export. Ruperts is also known for its fine wine and olive oil. As Ruperts is currently in the process of modernizing our infrastructure, we are interested in trade for solar panels. For our fellow alliance members we are also in need of uranium for our nuclear reactors.

We await your reply,

Anthony Carmine

Greetings again to our esteemed members!

It looks as though most of the member nations are in dire need of Uranium at the moment. Since that is one of our principal exports, we've decided to make a small change in our flight schedule. All our transportation craft will export ONLY uranium for the first 6 weeks until demand has been satisfied to a certain extent. After that , regular exports of other items will commence.

To Veilyonia,

Of course, you may land at New Caledonia. We've already allocated a new runway for you as mentioned earlier. Construction is in the final stages and the runway will be operational within a week. Since we already have an oceanic trade agreement (our Uranium & Computers for your Arms), we wonder if you still require Uranium exports via air?

To Ruperts,

Our people require some of your vintage wine , and Rupert's vineyards are known for their exquisite variety. Since our Republic day is coming up soon , we will require large quantities to satisfy the demand. We would like to use Ascari Intl. Airport as our port of call. Due to the distance, our aircraft will make a stopover at Twilight Airport (Zybodia) for refueling.

To Zybodia,

The facilities you requested are already available as part of our Aviation regulations. No inconvenience will be accorded to your aircraft. It is regrettable that you currently only have high-tech equipment for trade, since we urgently require home appliances. But, your country's pristine beaches will no doubt tempt tourists from our nation , so that evens out the deficit :) .

Regarding the discussion of the trade agreements, since we're all far away from each other (Zybodia & Ruperts on the West , Veilyonia on the right , South Titania in the middle) , it's best to implement video conferencing or a similar form of communication, that is if the rest of you agree.

-Regards,

The Shining Cartel of South Titania

Your responses are greatly valued:

I will soon include a map of Veilyonia, including all major airports and cities. (All large cities also have airports). As for conferencing, I agree with South Titania; video conferencing is probably the best way to go about the issue. However, some face-to face meetings would be desirable. To our fellow nations:

Zybodia

Accomodations are already being made for your aircraft at the Zhou-Torrest airport. We have an available supply of water waiting for all planes intending to land there. As for our landing site, we would prefer the Eastern airport, but we will make accomodations if unavailable. Our lumber sector is very large, as our Northen Isle is almost completely forested. we can provide lumber resources to an extent, but there are environmental codes implemented in that area. We would like to trade our lumber resources for microprocessors, as they are imperative for our fledgling space program.

South Titania

Thank you for the offer, but we do not require uranium shipments via air. The possibility of an accident, while slim is not a risk that the Parliament is willing to take. However, we wish to continue our se-trade, as this venture has been largely successful thus far.

Ruperts

The government of Veilyonia has expressed a desire for silicon, to help revive our computer industry. We would like to open discussions on this matter, determine and method of trade. Our Northern Isle can process any trade that you desire.

Special Update

News has reached us that South India is leaving Yggdrasil. This means that the no-fly zone over South India is no longer valid. Our aircraft can now safely reach Zybodia without any risk of low fuel. The updated navigation route is currently being transmitted to transports already airborne.

It is however sad to see a potential trading partner leave the region , but what used to be South India is now ripe for Zybodia to expand into.

South Titania:

Three of my nation's premier wineries, Della'Grotte, Fiorentina, and Locarno, are prepared to do business in South Titania. Between them they can supply any variety and classification of wine you need. And with the largest manufacturing sector in the region, Ruperts can meet any demand your nation has for all appliances and electronics.

Veilyonia:

We would be glad to supply your nation with silicon. I believe our cargo planes will be able to make it to Zhou-Torrest airport. If not there is always the option to transport by sea. Our citizens are always interested in unique imports, I believe your Sergeant Fizz soda would do well in my country. Ascari International is available for your convenience.

Government of Travancore-Cochin

Ministry of Economic Affairs

Travancore-Cochin has long followed a policy of protectionism. While imports were certainly not banned, the government favoured local-made products over foreign ones. Hence, the Travancorean economy has grown to be largely self sufficient. However, until now, most of our industries produced only what was required for domestic consumption - as was mandated by the previous Central government to prevent a supply/demand imbalance driven inflation/deflation.

The newly elected government has abandoned this policy of protectionism for a policy of globalisation. As a result, now almost all the industries in Travancore-Cochin are ready to seek out new markets overseas. To pave the way for a smooth transition for the Travancorean industries from a home market to a largely unfamiliar world market, the government has put some restrictions on the type and quality of the items that can be exported initially. The products that are eligible for export are:

  • Automobiles and Automobile parts
  • Cheese! Travancorean Cheese is one of the finest in the world.
  • Software
  • Electronics and Home Appliances

This initial list will be followed by a more elaborate list, which shall be released as and when the government deems it best. Extensive quality control tests shall be conducted on the eligible goods and items qualified thus shall carry a seal with the words "Export Quality" printed on it. The government wishes to advise all potential buyers of the products to look for the aforementioned seal.

For nations who are members of the Alliance of Economic and Trade Nations, these items will be freely available for purchase and sale.

Signed,

Minister for Economic Affairs,

Government of Travancore-Cochin

To Zybodia ,

We should get a conference started as soon as possible. Time and money are of the essence. I hope that you've completed all the formalities with our other members, the Cartel has certainly concluded their part of the bargain with you.

To other members,

I hope that you've all reached a consensus on your exports and imports , and we really should get on with the next step.

OOC : We need to get on with the roleplaying, this forum has become too dull

Fellow Nations...

I agree that the Economic Alliance is shaping up very nicely; however, as South Titania stated, I believe it may be time to take this discussion/trade over to the Role-Play section. There, we can begin a thread that can depict the actual trade of the alliance, rather than simply holding relations. I would like to propose a model for trade within the Economic Alliance:

-All nations can produce X total products
-X will be based on that nation's economic level
-A percentage of trade items will be based directly upon your nation's major in-game exports. (To be determined)
-The rest of the nation's exports will be determined by them
-Each nation will have a limit to the amount of product types they can produce (this will need some discussion)

That is my proposal for the guidelines of the trading RP. Please inform me if you think these proposals are too strict, or are completely unnecessary.

An Address to Trade Partners

Vinnlande,

The government of Veilyonia has decided to open trade relations with your industries. As our population is growing at a rapid rate, Veilyonia is in need of agricultural produce, which you currently have an abundance of. I would like to propose open trade across the Veilyonia-Vinnlande border. We would also like to offer any of our products that you are currently in need of. Please respond as soon as you can.

Ruperts

The Veilyonian government has unanimously expressed their agreement to your trade parameters. The first shipment of Seargent Fizz is already on the way. We hope to continue such relations in the future.
