Special Report

President Devlin has announced today that the SDSA or Shadowtech Demon's Space Agency was created and passed by all members of congress. The Space Agency has a budget of $71,127,168,000 to build their first launch pad. The following press conference was given.

The people of Shadowtech Demon's! Good Afternoon. I'm pleased to announce that we have created a Space Agency, called the Shadowtech Demon's Space Agency. The SDSA will be in charge of colonizing planets, building space shuttles, building launch pads, and recruit citizens that would like to live on the colonized worlds.

Our launch pad will be located at the very northern tip of the nation, to avoid any disturbance of citizens. The construction has begun but will take time, but we are confident that we will be able to begin research missions and colonization missions soon. Thank you.

The announcement was met with great excitement from the majority of the population. Thank you for watching this special report on Channel 4 news, and have a good night.

SDSA Report

Construction of the launch pad has been completed, and improvements are being added as our economy has been getting stronger. A press release was giving this afternoon about the space shuttle construction. Apparently, it was under construction at the same time as the launch pad. Some people are wary of why this was kept secret, but most are highly anticipating the finishing of the shuttle. The shuttle is expected to be completed tomorrow.

More jobs are being created from the SDSA construction of space shuttles, construction of launch pads, recruitment officers, and many other positions.

Thank you for watching and to the weather!

Special Report

The space shuttle construction has been completed and final preparations are being made until launch. The launch is set to begin in about 60 seconds.

The mission is classified as a research mission, to finally send up people to Luna and study properties of the rocks and other things there. At this time, no information has been released about the crew members, but it has been confirmed that 50% of the crew members are scientists, 20% of them are doctors, and the remaining 30% are military personal.

Ok, the final countdown has been initiated, 30 seconds remaining. This is a momentous day for the Democratic Republic of Shadowtech Demon's! Our first launch into space. 10 seconds remaining. Here we go!

5...4...3...2...1..LAUNCH! The space shuttle has launched!

SDSA Report

The space shuttle has landed on Luna and research has begun. The research mission is set to last one week and extensive research is being carried out on planet. When the space shuttle returns to Earth, it will bring back many samples for continued research.

Research reports will be made available at the Shadowtech Demon's Research Agency headquarters. Since all research documents not pertaining to National Security are made available to the public, other nations are welcome to learn from them, if they don't know the secrets already of course.

Questions about the current mission or about getting the research documents can be sent to the Shadowtech Demon's Space Agency, or the Shadowtech Demon's Research Agency.

SDSA Report

With two days until the return trip back to Earth, research has increased in speed. Two more new reports have been sent down, in hopes of advancing our knowledge.

An additional launch pad is being constructed a few miles away from the first pad, along with an additional shuttle. The shuttle is set to launch two days after the shuttle to Luna returns to Earth, and is set to be completed about when the Luna shuttle returns.

The new shuttle is going to be sent to Mars, to colonize a part of the planet. The SDSA has given some of it's funding to the Terraform Mars international project. We are one of 11 current nations donating money to the project, and the process is half way done.

Colonists are already signing up to be the first of our great nation to colonize another planet, and to start exploring the Red Planet.

That's all we have for news tonight, now to the news.

SDSA Report

As this is the last day the shuttle is going to be up in space, research has slowed down immensity, and has apparently focused on one report, which has been restricted. We have not been able to look at the reports, or obtain any information from the SDSA.

The launch pad construction has been completed successfully and construction of the space shuttle will be complete in three days.

Thank you for watching tonight's report, and now to the news.

SDSA Report

SS Demon, as the shuttle to Luna has now been named, has left Luna and is now on it's way back to Earth. Much has been learned from Luna, and more is expected to be learned from Mars, Venus, Mercury, and the other planets within our solar system.

The SS Shadow is set to be completed in two days. Since it is going to Mars, which is farther than Luna and has different atmospheric conditions, it takes longer to be built.

That is all for tonight, and on to the weather.

SDSA Report

We are being brick-walled by the SDSA about the research file that we now have learned to be classified. To all citizens that don't know what this classification means, it restricts access to only high ranking military officials, the heads of the government, and the President himself.

In other news, the SS Demon has reported all systems are green and are almost to Earth. As soon as the shuttle touches down, we will try to interview the crew members to see what they have to say about outer space.

That's all for tonight, now to the weather.

SDSA Breaking News

Launch! The SS Shadow is in the air and on it's way to Mars.

space_shuttle_launch.jpg

The SS Shadow is on the way with about 1000 civilians and 500 other crew members to set up the colony. The colonists are excited and ready to begin their new lives. We interviewed Ross Monestia yesterday, to see how she feels about the colonization.

'Well, I think it's a waste of tax payer money. They could be spending that money on Law & Order or Defense, but they would rather spend it on colonizing a planet. That's just my opinion though, and I doubt it will be heard.'

This is one of the few people who do not support the space projects, and wish the money were spent else where.

We also interview Captain John Hamerith, who piloted the SS Demon to Luna.

'It was awesome, and nothing like the simulation. The initial take off completely took it out of you, good thing there was an auto-pilot. The shuttle was pretty big, so we weren't bumping into each other constantly in 0g, but with all of the crew on board it did get on people's nerves sometimes. The scientists immediately got to work setting up there equipment when we set down and whenever we heard an, "Oh My God!" in our comms, we knew someone made a discovery. The take off from Luna was pretty uneventful, and we were able to head back to Earth pretty easily. Though some researchers were sad, and even angry we had to return to Earth, most of us were pleased. It's easy to get homesick up there, unlike in the military were you can call home, you can't in space at the moment. Alright, that's all I have to say at the moment, thank you for the interview.'

Researchers on Earth are disappointing they won't be on the shuttle to research Mars properties, but the SS Demon is being prepped to send up more supplies and final components. Researchers, builders, and more colonists will be on the shuttle as well.

That is all we have for tonight, so onto the weather.

SDSA Breaking News

We have received confirmation that the SS Shadow has arrived on Mars and is beginning construction of the colony/research base. All civilians are currently remaining on the shuttle, as construction is set to be complete some time during the next two days. The SS Demon will be launched tomorrow and will be loaded with supplies and final components which will make the colony almost completely independant of needing supply flown in every once in awhile.

Research has not yet begun, with most efforts placed on getting colony buildings up and running, but as soon as the buildings are complete, research will begin immediately.

The SDSA has told us that our advanced scanning units will be flown up on the SS Demon, which will eliminate the need for samples to be brought back to Earth to be scanned, but special containment pods are currently being designed so that a space shuttle will not have to be used for transportation purposes.

In other news, after days of intense debate between all of the heads of the government, President Devlin has approved giving 2% of our GDP to the Moon Base project, which will secure a plot of land for our nation, which a research base/colony will be set up.

This is all we have for today, and onto the weather.

SDSA Report

The SS Shadow has just departed from Mars, with the construction crew and colonists. Due to an error on President Devlin's part, our country has not been cleared to colonize Mars. The SS Demon, however is being prepped to launch to Mars with a research team, to conduct scientific research on different subjects.

The SS Shadow will arrive four days from now, while the SS Demon will be launching in two days. The two shuttles should pass each other at the atmosphere.

The first unmanned probe has come off production today, and is being sent to Mercury, to collect samples of the planets atmosphere, air, and rocks. It has been set up to launch and will be launching tomorrow.

SDSA Special Report

Welcome to another report from the SDSA. Here is the launch of probe Alpha-1 yesterday.

070913_japanese_launch_vmed_10p.widec.jp

As in our last report, the Alpha-1 probe is being sent into Mercury to collect samples of its atmosphere and rocks. We were unable to report on this yesterday, as the probe launch disrupted communications for a short period. The SS Demon is also preparing to launch at this time. In about two minutes it will be on its way.

The SS Demons is carrying a research team with equipment to Mars, where they will collect samples and preform research into the planet. Ok, final countdown has been initiated.

SDSA Report

space-shuttle-landing31.jpg

The SS Shadow has landed! Its weary and irritated crew members have disembarked and emergency services are on their way to the shuttle to check over the crew.

police_and_emergency_services_at_a_magda

The shuttle was forced to make an emergency landing on a freeway, as wind speed forced it off course. The freeway was immediately cleared and prepared for the shuttles landing. No injuries were reported, police and fire rescue services are out in full force.

The space shuttle carrying the research team is still on its way to Mars, and Alpha-1 probe is also still on the way.

President Devlin has released a statement saying that he was able to claim on of Jupiter's moons, Io, to be more precise. He is apologizing to the crew about the mix up on the Mars project, but is again asking for their support to colonize Io. This has met with some opposition however, from some religion groups. They are saying that it is unethical and, "A sin to leave our planet!".

Scientists are researching new materials that will be able to survive the trip to Jupiter, and to land on Io. Funding to the SDSA has increased yet again.

Thank you for watching, and on to the weather.

SDSA Report

The Alpha-1 probe has arrived at Mercury and is currently taking readings of the atmosphere. The SDSA is reporting that the probe is transmitting with out a problem at this time.

The SS Demon is one day away from Mars, and its research crew is ready to begin as soon as they land on the surface. It is stocked with scanners that are almost as advanced as we have here on Earth.

In other news, people are signing up for the colonization mission of Io, but there is less of a response than the Mars mission. People are wary as to if this mission will really happen, or if this is another false alarm. President Devlin has guarantied the public that this mission is the real thing, and again apologizes for the mix up in the last mission.

That is all for now, and on to the weather.
